Ever since Disney World announced the discontinuation of Magical Express back in 2021, we’ve been looking for alternate transportation to the airport.
One of the early options that emerged was the Brightline train — a near-high-speed rail system that was supposed to build stations at both Disney Springs and the Orlando International Airport. Plans for the Disney Springs station were ultimately scrapped, but the train will still have stops at the airport and near the Orlando Convention Center. And now, we’ve got a FIRST look inside the station at the airport!
Spectrum News 13 was invited to check out the new Brightline station at MCO, and we followed along on Twitter to see a peek inside! Reporter Celeste Springer (@CelesteSpringer) shared this look inside the station with a POV video.

The new station is 37,350 square feet and features two train platforms, each as long as the Eiffel Tower. Brightline will screen all passengers and bags prior to boarding, so there’s an area for that as well. The station is also home to two different lounges.

Tickets for this station will go on sale in May, and Brightline expects the route from Orlando to Miami to open sometime later this year. The company also expects to have a $6.4 billion economic impact on Florida’s economy over the next eight years and to create 2000 new jobs following construction.
