TRON Lightcycle / Run isn’t even officially open and yet Magic Kingdom is all abuzz with excitement!
Disney shared that the attraction would be opening early for a soft opening, and the new snack stand nearby is open (and delicious!) too. Not only that, but an area that was previously blocked off to guests is now open!
Tomorrowland Launch Depot (formerly known as Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.) will be the new home for all things TRON Lightcycle / Run merchandise in Magic Kingdom!
It will also be where you can experience the new TRON Identity Program — essentially creating your own avatar or action figure that you can customize. But, the area to the left of Tomorrowland Launch Depot has been closed off to guests while construction on TRON was going on — until now!
The walkway is open to TRON even if you don’t have a Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane, so guests who aren’t riding the ride can still check out Energy Bytes! pic.twitter.com/srcA2rHEb5

We noticed that this area is now open! Guests can walk the pathway, making more of Tomorrowland accessible. Hopefully, this will help spread some people out in this spot. For now, the store itself is still closed but is scheduled to open on April 4th with the official opening of TRON.
