Genie+ Sees Price DROP in Disney World

Spring Break crowds have started turning up at both the Orlando International Airport AND Disney World.

Things are BUSY in Disney World right now

That means we’re seeing a lot of long standby wait times for rides. That also means we’ve recently seen Genie+, which allows guests to bypass those long lines, has been priced at its absolute highest for several days in a row. HOWEVER, today, something has changed.

The price of Genie+ in Disney World has actually gone DOWN today. Instead of $29 per person, as we’ve previously seen it, it’s $25. That means Disney expects less demand for the service than over the past few days, which may seem a bit strange considering it’s a weekend DURING the busy Spring Break travel season.

As you may know, though, not ALL rides are included on Genie+, so we also took a look at the Individual Lightning Lane option for those rides that offer it. Here’s what we noticed:

  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: $12
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: $17
  • Rise of the Resistance: $25
  • Flight of Passage: $16

It’s important to note that these are the same prices we saw when Genie+ was $29.

Of course, $25 could still be considered high, and there WILL be crowds in Disney World this weekend, but it kinda’ surprised us that it did go down, if briefly. So should you buy it? Well, if saving time and having an opportunity to ride more attractions is a priority for you and your party, it’s probably going to be worth it. As they say, time IS money. Otherwise, you might be spending your entire time in the parks standing in line for rides.

Have you used Genie+ in Disney World?

Of course, you can skip the popular rides and hop in lines that are shorter for rides that aren’t as in demand, especially if you don’t care to ride those bigger rides. In the end, it’s up to you to decide if spending the money on Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes is worth it.
