CHANGES Announced for the Fireworks Dessert Parties and Dining Packages in Disney World

Some big changes will hit Disney World’s fireworks shows soon.

Fireworks Party at Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom

Happily Ever After is coming back to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Forever is coming back for a limited time, and later this year EPCOT will get a brand NEW fireworks show. You can grab a regular spot in the parks from which to watch these shows, but if you want to take your fireworks viewing to a new level, you might want to check out a fireworks dessert party or dining package. And with the upcoming fireworks changes, there are some updates to these you’ll want to know about.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties

First up, we’ve got the Magic Kingdom dessert parties. There are 3 of these currently:

  1. 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties: Disney Enchantment Pre-Party
  2. 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties: Disney Enchantment Treats & Seats
  3. 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties: Disney Enchantment After-Party

Due to the change in fireworks shows, some adjustments will be made to these. Specifically, Disney notes that these specific fireworks parties will be available for Disney Enchantment through March 31st.

End With Some Chocolate!

Starting April 1st, these will shift to being “Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties” not specific to the 50th Anniversary. They will be called similar yet slightly different names and will have similar things included in each as before:

  1. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party (where you have dessert first and then are escorted to a fireworks viewing area in the Plaza Garden)
  2. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets (where you have dessert and then view the fireworks from the patio of Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant)
  3. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Post-Party (where you watch the fireworks from a special viewing area in the Plaza Garden and then go enjoy desserts after)

On April 1st and 2nd, these “Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties” will feature views of Disney Enchantment. Then, starting April 3rd, they’ll feature the Happily Ever After Fireworks.

Fireworks View from Tomorrowland!

Reservations for the more generic fireworks dessert parties (not specific to the 50th Anniversary) will become available to book on March 23rd, 2023.

Pricing for these is remaining the same as the Enchantment versions:

  1. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party — $99 for adults, $59 for children
  2. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets — $114 for adults, $69 for children
  3. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Post-Party — $99 for adults, $59 for children

Disney Enchantment dessert party views

In terms of the food, you’ll find desserts like chocolate-dipped strawberries and chocolate silk tarts, cheeses, and beverages (including beer and wine for those 21 and over).

So, essentially, this seems to be mainly a theming and name change as the 50th Anniversary will be ending and Happily Ever After will be coming back. We expect the 50th Anniversary theming that had been included with some of the Enchantment fireworks dessert party snacks will likely be removed.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Fireworks Celebration

Next up, let’s talk about the fireworks celebration at Disney’s Contemporary Resort — which is currently called “Celebration at the Top: 50th Flavors & Fireworks at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.” This experience will last through March 31st.

Then, in April, it’ll switch to the “Celebration at the Top — Sip, Savor, and Sparkle” experience. This again removes any 50th Anniversary theming since the 50th celebration will be ending.

California Grill

Reservations for the Sip, Savor, Sparkle experience are now available for select nights starting April 8th (again, remember that Happily Ever After returns on April 3rd).

Much of the offering will remain the same, however. You’ll still get to enjoy sushi, small bites, and favorite dishes from the California Grill menu, as well as desserts. Plus, there will be libations from the complimentary bar — that’ll include wine, beers, and cordials.

Celebration at the Top Spread

When the show is about to start, you’ll head to the observation deck, watch the fireworks, and then come back for petit four desserts, cordials, and coffee. Presumably, the 50th Anniversary theming will be removed from any treats that had that during the 50th Anniversary celebration, so that’ll likely be the main difference here.

Pricing is remaining the same, however, with the experience priced at $129 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

EPCOT Fireworks Dining Packages

And finally, we reach EPCOT. There are 2 main dining packages here that go with EPCOT’s fireworks spectacular — currently Harmonious, soon to be EPCOT Forever, and later to be an entirely new show. These dining packages are offered at Rose & Crown and Spice Road Table.

On the websites for both of these dining packages, Disney now notes that from now through April 2nd, Harmonious will be offered with these dining packages. But, starting April 3rd, EPCOT Forever will be offered.

Rose and Crown Dining Room

Pricing for these appears to be remaining the same:

  1. Rose & Crown: $89 for adults, $39 for children
  2. Spice Road Table: $72 for adults, $31 for children
