It’s happening, people!!!
TRON Lightcycle Run will open in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, 2023! Disney shared the news and we can’t wait to be able to experience this attraction. But, Disney is holding TRON Lightcycle Run previews for select guests and we’ve got all the details.
Disney announced that Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to preview TRON Lightcycle Run BEFORE it officially opens to the public!
Disney usually hosts special previews of new attractions for select groups of people, including Annual Passholders, Cast Members, and Disney Vacation Club Members. This time around, all three will get to ride TRON before regular park guests.
TRON Lightcycle Run picks up after the end of TRON: Legacy, where Kevin’s son, Sam Flynn, opens a second gateway into a digital realm called the Grid. The first of these portals he created is found at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run.
Once you’re in the queue at Magic Kingdom, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race.
If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder, make sure you keep an eye out for more information on how to secure your spot. We’ll continue to look for more news about the opening of TRON Lightcycle Run like whether or not Disney will use a Virtual Queue or not, so make sure you stay tuned to DFB for more!
