Okay, who’s excited about the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary? This is a BIG one!
Of course, that means there will be a BIG celebration, which begins over into Disneyland later this month. The party will even include a new makeover for Sleeping Beauty Castle. Merchandise for the anniversary has also been released (platinum EVERYTHING) and we’ve had a few details about what to expect in 2023. Over the weekend we got a HUGE new announcement about Disney’s Centennial!
Disney previously announced that the celebration would actually begin during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC. Well, the celebration has started, and that includes a big announcement about the 100th anniversary!
On Saturday night, we got a sneak peek of World of Color — ONE during the ABC special. This is one of the TWO new nighttime shows coming to Disneyland for the anniversary. Scott Gustin shared a video of the sneak peek.
Disneyland released a short video of ‘World of Color – One’ last night. The clip includes Pocahontas, Encanto, Mulan, Star Wars, Moana, and more.

During the preview, Disney shared that “World of Color — ONE is an all-new spectacular that shows the power one person can have on the world around them.” In this nighttime show, they will use the “magic of water” and “favorite Disney stories” to illustrate how influential one person can be on their community and the world at large. The show will include scenes from Star Wars, Encanto, Mulan, and more Disney stories.
So that’s just something else to get excited about here in the New Year! We’ll also let you know about any other celebratory events and goings-on, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
