We’re spending Christmas Eve in the Most Magical Place on Earth!
All season long we’ve been trying all the holiday snacks, visiting EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, and checking out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Now it’s finally Christmas Eve, which means we’re expecting LOTS of crowds in the parks. Come with us to take a look!
We couldn’t wait to kick things off in Magic Kingdom, and it looks like we weren’t the only ones! It’s a pretty chilly day by Central Florida standards, and everyone waiting in line to enter the gates was all bundled up.
BUNDLE UP! It’s cold out here!

We climbed up the stairs to the newly reopened Walt Disney World Railroad Main Street train platform and surveyed the scene. There was a good amount of people entering the park, but overall things didn’t look too chaotic just yet.
Next time you’re in the park, you should check out the views from up here before riding the train. By the way, you can check out our first ride on the newly reopened train here.

Main Street, U.S.A. started to get a bit more congested as we headed towards Cinderella Castle, but we often see this area get pretty packed.
And over in Frontierland, we didn’t see too many people just yet. This could be because both Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain were temporarily closed this morning — or maybe the cold is keeping crowds away on Christmas Eve!
We stopped by Adventureland, and unsurprisingly didn’t find anyone in line to get a DOLE Whip — it might actually be too cold for that!
Looks can be deceiving, but Adventureland is looking empty right now

But then we found where everyone was hiding — in line for something WARM to drink at Main Street Bakery (A.K.A. Starbucks). We couldn’t blame them and hopped in line for ourselves!
When it’s cold, folks make time for coffee.

A little later in the day, we took another lap to see if it was any more crowded than it was when we first got to Magic Kingdom, and we saw a LOT more people in front of the Castle this time around. Maybe folks slept in this morning or waited to see if it was going to get just a little bit warmer before heading to Magic Kingdom!
Fantasyland was pretty crowded, but we’ve seen this area be shoulder to shoulder on crowded days so this doesn’t look too bad in comparison!
Tomorrowland seemed to have a good number of people walking around, but overall we didn’t see anything too congested in this area. Christmas Eve crowds in Magic Kingdom might have been thwarted by those cold temps!
