These 3 Rides Had a ROUGH Week in Disney World

Rides close from time to time — bad weather hits, electronics need to be tinkered with — we get it!

Disney World, are you okay?

But last week was an unusually unlucky week for Disney World, and if you were visiting you might have gotten caught up in it.

Last week we saw over TWENTY closures across several rides in Disney World. From Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom, guests had to endure even longer wait times than normal, which isn’t optimal considering how full the parks tend to get around the holiday season.

Space Mountain

Two mountains had it rough last week: both Space Mountain and Splash Mountain closed 6 times each throughout last week. This is a pretty bad time for Splash to be closed as guests are trying to get their last rides in before the ride is closed for good in January ahead of its retheming as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Splash Mountain

Over in Animal Kingdom, TriceraTop Spin had the most closures of all! This attraction was down 9 times over 6 different days. Another area in the parks that is slated for a remodel, guests had fewer chances to hop on this classic ride. We aren’t sure if Disney was just experiencing a bout of bad luck or what, but unfortunately, guests had to bear the brunt of the issues!

Hopefully, these closures didn’t foil your plans too much, but remember to keep checking in on our website for the latest news on ride closures so you’re never out of the loop!
