You’ll Be Tempted to Get Disney World’s New Snack. Here’s Why You Should SKIP It

Greetings from Disney Springs!

Christmas Tree in Disney Springs

We’re back in one of our favorite parts of Disney World taking in all the holiday decor, shopping, and snacks! Eating our way through all the new treats for the holidays is not something we take lightly — we do it all in the name of theme park snack science (okay, and for you, too!). And now, it’s time to check out another NEW treat over in Disney Springs!

Marketplace Snacks is located in the Disney Springs Marketplace, and right now they’re serving up a very trendy treat — bubble waffles! For the holiday season, you can get a Santa Mickey Mouse Bubble Waffle for $8.99. It’s a fresh bubble waffle cone filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and red and green M&Ms with a white chocolate Santa hat and chocolate Pocky sticks.

We LOVED this waffle — the outside was warm and crispy while the inside was light and fluffy. It had a nice crunch without being too tough. The warm waffle combined with the cold vanilla ice cream is such a fun combination, and there was a good amount of chocolate sauce on the sundae too. It was pretty well-balanced in terms of vanilla and chocolate, though we did find the vanilla ice cream to be a bit on the icy side.

The M&Ms were a festive touch that added a hard crunch, so if you’re not into crunchy bits in your ice cream keep that in mind. We loved the Mickey Oreo ears and almost wish there had been some crushed Oreo action here as well. The white chocolate Santa hat was a cute addition, but was too sweet and artificial tasting for us.

A new holiday treat

Overall, this is a fun frozen treat for vanilla ice cream fans or those who don’t want a whole lot of fanfare in their sundaes. Sometimes all you need is a good vanilla and chocolate combination to hit the spot! We’d also argue that this bubble waffle sundae is pretty sharable depending on your hunger level, so keep that in mind too. But, it was really just a plain ol’ vanilla and chocolate sundae — there are so many other incredible desserts to try in Disney Springs instead!
