If you could skip the line of ONE Disney World ride for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
Maybe you’d go with something that almost always has a long line like Rise of the Resistance, or you could pick a classic attraction, like Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, if only permanent Lightning Lanes were a real thing — we’d be all about it! But, unfortunately, you usually do have to wait in some lines when you’re in the parks. So, will you be waiting for a long time if you visit soon? Let’s take a look at the wait times from this past week to find out!
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 60 minutes!
After that, we had Peter Pan’s Flight at 54 minutes, Splash Mountain at 43 minutes, Jungle Cruise at 40 minutes, Space Mountain at 34 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 31 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 27 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 27 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 27 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 26 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 21 minutes.
Next, we had Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 16 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 16 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 16 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 14 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 12 minutes, and Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 10 minutes.
Then, we saw Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 9 minutes, Mad Tea Party at 8 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 7 minutes, and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 7 minutes.
And rides that only had wait times under 5 minutes were Liberty Square Riverboat at 4 minutes and Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon, you need to be aware of the days that the park closes early for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It happens on select nights through October 31st — you can take a look at all of the dates right here.
Over in EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait was Frozen Ever After at 65 minutes.
Then, we had Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 61 minutes, Test Track at 60 minutes, Soarin’ at 27 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 21 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 11 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 10 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 9 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 9 minutes, Living with the Land at 9 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 8 minutes.
Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!
The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is happening right now in the park and will be going on all the way until mid-November! You can check out our top rated items from the festival right here, see all of the entertainment options here, and take a look at the merchandise here.
Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 89 minutes.
After that, we had Slinky Dog Dash at 78 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 55 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 53 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 52 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 50 minutes, and Tower of Terror at 42 minutes.
And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 27 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 13 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 13 minutes, Walt Disney Presents at 11 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes.
We’re still waiting on a few things to return to normal in Hollywood Studios. Fantasmic! is supposed to come back sometime this year, but we have no word from Disney yet on when that could be. Voyage of the Little Mermaid is also closed at the moment.
Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 75 minutes.
Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 9 minutes, TriceraTop Spin at 5 minutes, The Boneyard at 0 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at 0 minutes.
Character meet and greets are back around the parks including in Animal Kingdom! You can regularly see Kevin walking around, and you can meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse again over at Adventurers Outpost.
That’s your look at the average wait times around Walt Disney World this week! Overall, these are WAY more manageable than the wait times we’ve been seeing this summer. It seems like the crowds are thinning out a bit with kids going back to school and the summer winding down, but we’ll let you know if anything changes! Stay tuned to DFB more Disney news and updates.
