Now if you make multiple trips to Disney World every year, we know there are people in your life who say, “They go to Disney every day!” But when we say it…
Well, we MEAN it! It’s our job to go to Disney World every single day of the year. We do it for you — to bring you that latest pair of new Minnie ears we just found, a review of a limited-time ice cream cookie sammie you just can’t miss, and to bring you our insider tips to help you get the MOST out of your trip!
This week, we put the word out on our company Slack channel that we were looking for those Amazon items that our DFB Team simply will NOT be without in the parks!
Here are the 11 things you need to order off Amazon before your next Disney trip!
Beat the heat with one of these portable neck fans! They’re hands-free and sit around your neck like headphones, leaving your hands available for important tasks like snapping pictures or holding your Mickey Bar!
We recommend the JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan for its 75 outlets that blow air allll around your neck to cool you down faster. It is currently priced at $34.99, and comes in five different colors so you can match your outfit and your Minnie ears!
With all the reasons to be on your phone while at Disney (Genie+, My Disney Experience App, taking pictures) you are sure to wear down your phone battery. Whether you don’t have a portable charger or already have one, try upgrading to the iWALK Portable Charger! We love that it plugs directly into the bottom of your phone, no cables necessary.
This makes it easy to still use your phone while charging — get that pic with Mickey without dangling cords getting in the way! They also make ones with other adapters, like this one that fits Samsung models, so anyone can use them.
Makeup and tropical heat don’t often go well together. But you can still be cute and add a little something to your look without worrying you’ll look like a raccoon after a few hours! Enter: the classic, Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Our staff members go to Disney every day absolutely swear by this mascara, saying it’s long-lasting even when running between Genie+ reservations all day.
Also, if you still want to wear a semi or full face of makeup, set it with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (look how cute the travel size is!). For maximum staying power, we suggest spritzing a layer of setting spray in between each makeup step.
In the market for some new suitcases? Our favorite brand is American Tourister, and you can find a ton of their items on Amazon, which means you can get your new cases lickety split! Their luggage is durable while still remaining lightweight, with plenty of room to stuff all your souvenirs in when you’re ready to head home.
We also love the full-360 wheels that allow for easy maneuvering. With plenty of different styles, colors, and sizes, you’re sure to find something that will fit your needs!
For pin collectors, forgo the usual lanyard and instead let your bag double as your pin display! Disney has started to sell their own versions of popular Japanese ita bags that are meant for displaying pin collections, but why not bring your own?
Fill this backpack up with all your normal park necessities. It features two display windows for pins. Now you won’t have to wait, and can display your new collection as soon as you purchase! We also like these bags because they come in several colors, so if you’re going for a pin theme you can pick a bag to match.
These hooks are totally adorable and can serve a ton of different purposes. Use them as advertised to attach things to your stroller that you need to keep handy or don’t want to carry, like your diaper bag.
Even if you don’t have a stroller, there are still plenty of ways to use these; your imagination is the only limitation! Attach it to your purse, backpack, or any other bag you’re bringing with you to the park and then keep your hands free by using the clip to hold your water bottle, popcorn bucket- whatever you can think of!
These cooling towels are continuously one of our readers’ favorites, and our reporters swear by them too! The cooling sensation activates just by wetting the towel, and will make it more comfortable when spending a whole day in the hot sun. Throw a couple of these into your bag when you head out for the day, then when you’re ready to use run it under a tap and wrap around your neck for some sweet, sweet relief!
These also come with a plastic carrying bag, so even if they are damp you can still chuck them back in your bag when you’re done using them. The fabric is machine washable for easy cleaning, and we can’t recommend these towels enough!
Protect your feet without bulking up the inside of your shoes with thick insoles by using this thin fabric padding by Dr. Scholl’s. It comes in a roll so you can simply cut to your desired size, then apply just where you need it.
The material is ultra-thin but provides protection and relief to your feet, perfect for long days of walking. The adhesive is designed to last all day, so don’t worry about it failing right when you need to really book it across the park to make your dining reservation!
You might be super careful about applying sunscreen all over your body and face, but what about your scalp? An often forgotten area, the skin along your scalp also needs to be protected when outside! Supergoop makes a sunscreen that comes in powder form, making it easy to apply to your scalp to avoid any nasty sunburns.
The DFB team uses this, and we like to spray the scalp in different sections to make sure every area is covered. Just blend in by massaging with your fingertips or brushing your hair, and you’re done! Another version we recommend is this Banana Boat spray that also offers protection but won’t leave your hair oily.
This may say sleeping mask, but we love slathering this product by Carenel on all day, every day! Keep your lips ultra moisturized by using this just the same as a normal chapstick, and throw it in your park bag for reapplication.
If you don’t need that level of hydration, stick to using it as advertised and only apply at night before going to bed. You’ll wake up with super soft lips!
Hey, there’s no shame. It happens to all of us! Nip chafing in the bud by being prepared and using a stick that is designed to prevent that awful rub before it starts. Just apply anywhere you normally experience irritation before getting dressed, then you’re good to go!
Our reporters like to keep these little sticks in their park bags so they can reapply throughout the day. Another brand our staff likes is by Megababe, so feel free to try different options to see which one works best for you.
