Have you heard that Disney is creating a spin-off National Treasure series?
Spin-off shows based on popular movies have been popping up left and right on Disney+, with High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Hawkeye, The Mandalorian, and more. The next project in the works is based on the National Treasure movies — and now we finally have an UPDATE about this show!
Today, Disney released the official name for this series! It’ll be called National Treasure: Edge of History.
And before you ask, we can tell you that this show is not going to be about Benjamen Gates (the main character in the National Treasure movies). Instead, the series will feature Jess Morales — a 20-year-old who is seeking to uncover her mysterious family history and find lost treasure.
The series will, however, be written by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, who wrote the original movies. Disney hasn’t announced a release date yet for the series, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as one is revealed.
If you’re a Disney+ subscriber, make sure to check out all the shows and movies coming to the streaming service this July! And don’t forget about the exclusive savings that Uber and Uber Eats are offering Disney+ subscribers as well.
