REVIEW of the Norwegian Kringla in EPCOT

One thing’s for certain; we love our Disney snacks!

We love our EPCOT snacks!

And we know you love them too! That’s why we keep you up to date on all the menu changes, new snacks, missing snacks, and what’s going on with EPCOT festivals at all times, so you’re prepared for your Disney World trip. But for some guests, special diets can make finding food safe for them much harder. We’re so excited to report that we’ve found a snack our vegan friends are sure to LOVE in EPCOT! 

Over at the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion, you can grab the Norwegian Kringla, which is a chocolate or almond sweet pretzel.

It matches the sign!

We LOVE this treat! You can’t tell that it’s vegan from the taste, and while we at first thought the pretzel was dry, we quickly realized it was far from it, but just a unique spongy texture that took a second to decipher! The white and milk chocolate frosting drizzled on top is amazing, making the whole treat super delicious.

A closer look!

While it is clear from this treat’s ingredients that it is plant-based, the treat doesn’t have a green sprig on its sign to indicate such. So keep in mind that it IS vegan friendly, so those who are not expecting a vegan treat, they may be thrown off by the texture. Overall we think anyone who loves chocolate or almond and pastries will love this treat, but if you’re not a fan of either, we suggest you find something else at the bakery to try (there’s plenty to choose from)!


EPCOT has had a lot going on for it recently! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened up in May, and has garnered quite a positive response! We’re also eagerly awaiting the start of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and menus were just announced for all of the booths! So stay tuned to DFB, and we’ll be sure to keep you in the know!
