Do you have a favorite Disney World hotel?
Do you like the Hawaiian vibes of the Polynesian? Or are you more into the groovy theming of Pop Century? Perhaps you dig the New Orleans vibes of the Port Orleans resorts. Or maybe you just love pretending to eat pastries on the French Riviera at the Riviera. Whatever your preference, there’s a hotel for you! We just visited Disney World’s hotels, checking in to see what’s been going on with them lately.
So let’s get to some updates!
Riviera Food Updates
We had a chance to check out Le Petit Cafe’s Mother’s Day offering, which was a Mini-Dessert Chocolate Box for Mom for $12, which was a Chocolate Box — inside the box was a ganache brownie, raspberry macaron, and lemon madeleines.
The treats inside the box were quite good, but the box itself pretty much started to melt in the Florida sun.
Riviera Other Updates
Because it was around Mother’s Day when we stopped by the Riviera, we found that the craft activity was a Create Your Own Mother’s Day Card. Be sure to check out crafting activities at your Disney World hotel, because there’s always something to do and many of these, like this one, are free!
You can also check out paid activities at your hotel, like the Painting Activity available at the Riviera. Right now, you can learn to paint Orange Bird!
So be sure to learn all about the activities your hotel has to offer!
Port Orleans French Quarter Food Updates
We tried the Mother’s Day Cupcake at Port Orleans, which was available for $5.99. This cupcake is a Lemon-scented cupcake filled with fresh blueberry compote topped, vanilla buttercream, and fondant flowers.
It was pretty good, and we liked the sweet and tartness of it, although we didn’t really taste any lemon. This cupcake was also available at Riverside Mill Food Court at Port Orleans — Riverside.
Port Orleans — French Quarter Merchandise Updates
We found a new Port Orleans Resort Ornament. One side is the hotel’s exterior…
…while the inside has Mickey and Minnie! The ornament is $29.99.
You can also get a Scat Cats Tervis Tumbler for $22.99…
…and a new Port Orleans Corkcicle.
The Corkcicle is $39.99.
Port Orleans — Riverside Merchandise Updates
Fulton’s General Store
If you’re looking to track down the Loungefly Main Street Electrical Parade Mini Backpack and ears, they’re available here. The backpack is $75 and the ears are $39.99.
We also spotted some of the Pooh Home goods here, like the Honeycomb Jars and the Pooh Kitchen Utensil Holder.
The jars are $49.99 and the Utensil Holder is $34.99.
Saratoga Springs Merchandise Updates
The Artist’s Palette Shop
We found the Golf Pro Shop 50th Anniversary Golf Towels. Each towel is $49.95.
If you’re looking for a good Father’s Day gift, you can get assorted Mug Packs that can include a variety of candy, souvenirs, and other gifts. The price is dependent on what you put in there. We saw a Star Wars one…
…along with a Goofy Dad Jokes Mug.
Speaking of Star Wars, the “I Am One With The Force” Statue we previously saw at Hollywood Studios is here now, too. It’s $19.99.
If you’re up for some reading, be sure to pick up a copy of the Star Wars Archives and The Walt Disney Archives books you can grab here.
You can also grab a variety of Pride Pins here.
With Pride Month coming up soon, we’re starting to see more of these everywhere!
Polynesian Construction Updates
The walkway to the beach past the pool is still closed for construction.
The fence that’s still around the marina remains unpainted.
Those are the only updates we have from here, though!
Contemporary Construction Updates
The Firework Viewing Terrace outside on the third floor is being resurfaced.
We also noticed resurfacing being done on the back of the building.
Note that access to the pool deck from the second floor is currently limited.
All-Star Sports Merchandise Updates
Goofy’s Gifts and Sundries
There’s a Mickey All-Star Resorts Sketchbook Ornament here!
The ornament is $21.99. We’ve also seen this at All-Star Movies and All-Star Music!
Those are all the updates we have for now, but stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
