When Disney World reopened after the pandemic-related closures, not every aspect of the parks returned at once.
Disney began a phased reopening based on health guidelines that extended to parks, hotels, dining, and even entertainment. That’s why we were SO excited when Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade made its debut once again last month in Magic Kingdom. We quickly noticed that not every character had returned with the parade, but now it looks like that has officially changed!
When the Festival of Fantasy Parade returned to Magic Kingdom, there were a few familiar faces missing from the floats: The Beast, Prince Charming, Anna, and Prince Naveen.
We’re happy to share that these characters are officially back in the classic Disney parade! We spotted Belle and the Beast leading the parade…
… and Anna has rejoined her sister, Elsa, too.
Princess Tiana now has Prince Naveen back by her side…
… and Prince Charming has found his way back to Cinderella!
Disney hasn’t made any official statements on why the characters were missing, but it may have had something to do with the physical distancing guidelines regarding character meet and greets that were still in place up until April 18th, 2022.
