Parents, you do a lot. You plan elaborate, action-packed Disney World vacations, clean your house, make dinner, and take care of your family. At any given time, you probably have more on your plate than a hungry diner at an all-you-can-eat buffet. With such a busy schedule, let us help! While we may not be able to plan your entire Disney World vacation for you, we can pack your park bag for you.
These days, you need your phone to do just about EVERYTHING in Disney World! Your phone is your room key, your credit card, your camera, and even your personal assistant! All that activity is probably going to wear down your battery pretty quickly, so we suggest this Anker Portable Charger for a little charging on the go.
This charger is $21.99, and it is compatible with any phone (just make sure you have a charging cable for your phone!).
Now more than EVER before, Hand Sanitizer is essential in Disney World. We found a handy pack of four Marvel-themed hand sanitizers you can toss in your park bag or stick on your keychain!
This pack of four (with matching rubber sleeves) is $19.95 on Amazon.
While we’re on the subject of germs, you should probably also toss a small pack of Antibacterial Hand Wipes in your bag. We find ourselves using these ALL the time in Disney World. Whether you need to wipe off a table or clean the melted Mickey ice cream bar off your hands, you’ll definitely be glad you have some hand wipes on you.
You can get a pack of 50 for $4.99 online.
Of course, you’ll probably keep your fingers crossed that you won’t need it, but it’s always a good idea to carry a Compact Umbrella in your park bag. We tend to recommend the kind that folds up quickly and easily so that you can pull it out at the first sign of rain.
This compact polka-dot umbrella is $15.99 on the Target website.
You might also want to pack some Disposable Rain Ponchos, you know, just in case. In our experience, the thin, light ponchos are great for stuffing in your park bag because they don’t take up much space.
The 5-pack of blue ponchos is $12.98 on Amazon.
Now that traditional character meet and greets are returning to Disney World, this Disney Autograph Book and Pen set is perfect for your next character interaction.
You can grab it for $9.21.
Listen, for the majority of the year, Disney World is HOT! If you plan to be in Disney World during the spring, summer, or even fall, you’re going to want to cool off. We love this Mickey-shaped Personal Handheld Fan that blows at three different speeds and comes with a USB charging cord; isn’t it cute?!
Amazon sells this little fan for $13.68.
No matter what time of year you visit Disney World, sunscreen is a must. We love the Sun Bum Original Sunscreen Spray because it provides great coverage AND it’s water-resistant! Even after a ride on Splash Mountain, your skin will be safe.
This sunscreen spray is $15.99.
Now, let’s get into some of the less obvious park bag staples. After owning and using these Stasher Reusable Pouches both in Disney World and at home, these are a real winner. In Disney World, we like to throw a pouch or two in our bag to protect our important items and hold loose snacks like Goldfish or Cheerios. These silicone bags are waterproof, too, so even if you’ve got a wet poncho in your bag, your items will stay safe in a sealed pouch.
You can buy a multi-pack for $20.99 online. Trust us, these will come in handy!
We’ve all been there. A long day of walking in Disney World can do serious damage to your feet if you aren’t careful! A small pack of Super Moleskin Padding will seriously help prevent blisters, rubbing, and sore spots from creeping up on you.
A 3-pack of Moleskin sheets is $1.49.
Sometimes, though, you might just need a Band-Aid. When packing Band-Aids, we recommend looking for a multi-pack that comes with different shapes and styles, because no two scrapes are the same!
Target sells 110 assorted Band-Aids for $9.99.
Keeping a Disney Gift Card in your park bag is a helpful way to track your spending — plus it makes it easy to pay! You can buy both physical and digital Disney gift cards online; it’s totally up to you.
On shopDisney, you can load up a gift card with $25-$500.
We tell our readers this tip all the time: don’t pay full price for a bottle of water in Disney World; it’s not worth it! Disney offers free cups of water at most quick-service food locations, but it might be easier to just bring your own reusable water bottle. If you want your water to stay cool, consider a Mickey Mouse Tie-Dye Stainless Steel Water Bottle!
This adorable water bottle is $29.99.
If you or someone in your family is interested in pin trading, make sure to bring some Disney pins on vacation! This Mickey Mouse and Friends Pin Trading Booster Set comes with six pins, which gives you six traders to start.
This cute set of pins is $32.99.
Florida is SUNNY, which is great for photos, but bad for your eyes! While you’re inside, store your sunglasses in a Sunglasses Case so you don’t have to worry about losing them.
This simple black case is $25.
This is one of those products you might not think to buy, but you’ll be glad to have the Megababe Thigh Rescue Anti-Chafe Stick after a long day in the parks.
This little anti-friction stick is $13.99. It’s a crowd favorite!
The Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick is another wildly popular product with tons of great reviews. This stuff is great because it stays put on your lips ALL DAY — it even holds up under a face mask!
You can buy this lipstick for $8.39 on the Target website.
Finally, we like to recommend a lip balm that comes with a little SPF. The eos Natural SPF 30 Lip Balm Stick smells great and protects your lips!
This scented lip balm is $2.99.
There you have it! We hope this little list of park bag essentials helps make your life a little easier. Be sure to stick around; we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news and planning tips!
